You are a Rare Bird ...

Good morning! Today's card features the adorable Birds of a Feather Flock Together (G370) and Rare Bird Sentiment (E892) from Great Impressions Stamps.

I simply adore these birds and couldn't wait to play with them. I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink along the edge of my card with the sentiment in the lower left hand corner. I also stamped the image a couple more times an extra cardstock. Coloring medium is a combination of Copic Markers, Faber-Castell Pitt Brush Markers, with the background sky created with Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass and Stormy Sky Distress Ink.

I colored the extra birds only and fussy cut part of the birds out, and layered them on with  3D foam squares. It's a little hard to see in the photo's but the top bird is truly in flight and the 2nd bird is sitting on top of the branch.

Birthday Box Card ...

Good morning! I'm popping in to share another Box Card I created for this months Challenge over at the Scor-Pal Blog.

These Box Cards are so fun and easy to make. The last one I made was for my great-niece who turned 5, and she loved how it opened into a box. 😀

I wrote up a Tutorial on how I made the Box Card. Go HERE to see the tutorial!

Sing in the Rain ...

Good afternoon, and I'm sorry for the late post. I'm sharing a Spring card that I made featuring stamps from Rubbernecker Stamps.

I created today's card with the lovely Summer Girl Breezy 676-01 and one of the sentiments and borders from the Freehand Border Phrase Set 900. Memento Tuxedo Black Ink was used for the stamps, and Copic Markers are the medium used for coloring the girl. Tim Holtz Distress Ink was used for the sky and sandy ground, and Glossy Accents added to represent raindrops.

Here is a closer look at the lovely girl ...

May all your days ...

Good afternoon. Today I'm popping in to share some inspiration for the NEW Rubberneckers Stamps Challenge #7 ~ April Showers (April Showers Bring May Flowers).

Today's card features the awesome Create a Garden 1 (3008) with the Coordinating Basket Garden Die Set (3008D). I started with stamping the basket with Memento Rich Cocoa Ink, colored the basket with my Copic Markers, and used the coordinating die to cut it out. Using orange and yellow ink I stamped multiple copies of the flower, and used the coordinating die to cut them out. The flower stems was stamped with Memento Cottage Ivy on white cardstock, and the sentiment with Tuxedo Black Ink.  Tim Holtz Distress Ink was applied under the flowers and basket prior to adding them with a variety of thin and thick 3D Foam Squares. White enamel dots were put in the center of each flower. The panel was then layered on yellow and red cardstock, and then my white card.

We have some awesome inspiration for the NEW Challenge over at the Rubbernecker Blog. The prizes are amazing so I hope you stop by for all of the details, and then join in the FUN!

A Little Hello ...

Good morning! I created a FUN Spring card featuring the adorable Duck with Umbrella (F640)Springtime Birdie (E906) and A Little Hello Sentiment (B151) from Great Impressions Stamps.

When I saw these stamps I fell in love with them and had to have them in my stamp collection! The adorable duck and birdie are so sweet together.

Memento Tuxedo Black Ink was used for stamping, and the color medium used are my trusty Copic Markers. I stamped an extra copy of both images for coloring and paper-piecing the ducks boots, both umbrella's and the birdie. Tim Holtz Distress Ink was used to create the sky and ground cover prior to adding the frame. Once the frame was layered on my panel 3D Foam Squares and Micro Glue Dots were used to add the boots, umbrella's and the birdie.

I layered the final panel on a couple layers of cardstock and my cardbase. The final step was to apply Glossy Accents for my puddle and rain. I then stamped part of the Duck on my envelope.
