Let's take a trip together ...

Here is another card I created over the weekend.

I having been looking at this sketch from i{heart}2stamp all month long, and only came up with my design this weekend.

I combined this challenge with CAS-ual Friday's Stuck on You challenge.
While pulling out pictures of my son last week I came across these "Vacation" stickers from DCWV that go perfectly with Avocado Arts "Zipnby to Say Hi!" stamp set.
The colors are off on my picture.  Sorry!  They are actually French Vanilla with black, with a light blue and red.

Here is a close up of the stamp and sentiment.
Doesn't the globe work perfectly with this sentiment.

As I look at my card while putting this post together, I'm thinking I should have used different colors. ;(

Thank you for stopping by!

I created my card using the August Sketch Challenge from The Craft's Meow.

I'm also submitting this card to Craft Fancy's Paper Crafting Stores Challenge #2, which is to have Fun with Twine.

This cute set was designed by Wee Memories own Jenny Suchin!
I pulled out my Skip to My Lou PP from Basic Grey's Hopscotch set.  I think it is a perfect match for this awesome set.

Card folio ...

Good morning.  I created this Card folio over the weekend.  I found the tutorial to make this over at Scor-Pal's website.  They have tons of tutorials to create different projects, and you can find them HERE.

The sentiment is part of a FREEBIE from Scraptastical Kreations, and is titled Teachers Rule Title.  I only used the words for my design, and applied some Tim Holtz Barn Door Distress Ink around the edges after cutting out the sentiment with my Nestabilities Die.

I used Bazzill tan card stock to create the portfolio, added DCWV Latte Matstack PP to the cover, then attached my ribbon from Bed Bath & Beyond.  I have tons of this ribbon from my son's Bridal Shower, and the color is actually a deep purple.

Here is a picture straight on.
Here is the Card folio opened.  I put four cards on each side to show how they fit so nicely inside.
I plan on giving this to Katie's teacher for Christmas with some note cards inside.

Thank you for stopping by!

Halloween Party Favor ...

TGIF!! That said, it's time for a new Scraptastical Kreations Challenge.  This weeks Digital Challenge is "Anything Goes".  As always your design must include a SK Digital Stamp.

I really went outside the box for this challenge.  Back in May when I was looking for ideas for the Bridal Shower we had earlier this month I came across this tutorial by Angie Hagist for the Party Favor, and decided to give it a try.

Here is the completed party favor.
Here is a side view.
I used SK's Witch Digi Stamp and colored her in with my Copic Markers, then fussy cut her out before attaching her to my bag.

Here are a couple more pictures before the bag was put together.

Head on over to SK's Fan Page for all the details about this weeks challenge.

If you want instructions on how to make this Party Favor, leave me your email address in the comments section and I will forward you the instructions that I copied, and used for this design.

Thank you for stopping by!

Wishing you a Happily Ever After ...

When I first saw Lawnscaping One-Layer Challenge I was a little stumped.  I actually wasn't sure what to do.  I sat at my craft table going thru all my Lawn Fawn stamps for about an hour before inspiration hit.

I made a "Wedding" card for my son and his fiance.

I chose blue and green for my colors because the Bridesmaids dresses are cornflower blue, and they have green in their wedding invitations.  Hopefully, the Faux Pearls that I added to the center of each flower doesn't throw my card out of the challenge.

Thanks for stopping by!

 - Paper:  Neenah Solar White
 - Ink:  Memento Tuxedo Black, Copic Markers B00, B02, B06, G82, YG09, YG17 & 0, Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Tumbled Glass & Stormy Sky
 - Extra:  Recollections Faux Pearls
 - Tools:  Embossing Sponges

Thinking of you ...

There is a new Progressive Digi Challenge in town over at Crafter Digital Art Center (CDAC).  If you love working with Digital Stamps then head on over to CDAC for all the details.

Once I was done coloring my stamp for this challenge I knew it would be perfect to create a card for CAS-ual Friday's Challenge #16.

This lovely Victorian Digital Rose Fan was provided by Priscilla Styles, and is one of the Freebie's given to the participants in the August CDAC Progressive Challenge.

To get the 3D look for the fan I used my scoreboard to score the fan lines, then used my fingers to fold the fan.  3D Foam Squares were used to pop up the fan on my card after wrapping some twine around the base.  The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn's Sophie's Sentiments.  I actually cut the sentiment before putting it on my block, and inking it up.

Thank you for stopping by!

Hello Bloggers ...

This is the first time I'm submitting a card for the Paper Pals Arts Challenge #107, which is the sketch on the left.  When I saw the sketch I knew it would be perfect to combine with OTWC's Color Challenge #58.
The sketch and colors go so well together.  Here is the inspirational photo provided by Off the Wall Craftiness.

Thank you for stopping by to see my interpretation of the sketch, and color challenge.

A Masculine Card ...

The current challenge over at Wee Memories (#64) is to create a Masculine Card.

I printed a recently purchased Digital Stamp titled Quiet Sunset from Designed2Delight because it is perfect for a masculine card. I used one of D2D's other masculine stamps this year for Father's Day Card for my father-in-law, and he really loved it.
This stamp was colored with a several different mediums ... Copic Markers for the mountains, lake, sun, and grass ... Tim Holtz Distress Inks for the sky, over the grass, and the doc and boat ... others inks over the sun and part of the water.

A separate copy of the doc and boat where colored, fussy cut, and popped on with 3D Foam Squares.

If you haven't created a Masculine Card for this challenge yet, don't worry you still have time to join in the fun.  Check out all for the details HERE.

Orchid Happiness ...

The second card I created over the weekend is for the current challenge over at CAS-ual Friday's.  They have joined forced with Clean & Simple Stamping for this weeks Sketch Challenge.

I picked up the stamp I used for this card at the Lan Su Garden Shop in Portland, Oregon, in June.  The stamp is from Rubber Hedgehog and is called Chinese Orchid Calligraphy; Chinese Character is "Happy/Happiness".  It is the perfect "stand alone" stamp for this CAS challenge.

After stamping this lovely with my Memento Tuxedo Black ink, I used my Copic V12 to go over the flowers.  It's a little hard to tell on this picture.  The ribbon is left over from a party favor that was tied around some mesh that held candy.

Zipnby to say hi! ...

Good morning!  I created a couple of cards on Sunday, and finally have time to post them.

The first card combines two challenges
... sketch is from Avocado Arts August Challenge which I will upload to their Flicker Group.
This picture is not the best ... my "Goldenrod" color looks really bland here.  Couldn't get a better picture.  Sorry!

Now the stamp set used for this card is Avocado Arts "Zipnby to say hi!".  I used the sentiment with the single heart, and that adorable little car with the exhaust behind the car.  I don't know if you can see it, but I attached a Clear Overlay over the hearts and sentiment with a yellow brad.  The overlay is from Making Memories Travel set, and looks like a tag.  All those little dots are the tag.  The faux stitching was created with a White Gel Pen.  Last step was to staple my ribbon on with my Tim Holtz Tiny Attacher.

Altered Notebook

DeNami Mini Cards Blog Hop can be found HERE,
or you can scroll down to get there.

When I saw this weeks challenge for Just us Girls #97 it fit in perfectly with what I needed to do for Katie's Composition Book to make it stand out.  The book is for sending updates from her teacher home.  Now I can't do anything tooo fancy or Katie will just destroy it.

While at CHA 2010 I saw some Post-it Note Craft Paper, which is self-adhesive.  I picked up a pack at Michael's some time after the show last year, and had some left over.  I chose to use primary colors ... red and blue ... as they are Katie's favorite colors.  Here name was applied with JoAnn Craft Essentials Aphabet Rubons.  I just recently got in Jenny Suchins "Owl Be Seeing you in Class" stamp set from The Craft's Meow and knew I had to include them on this.  Here is a close up ...
It's a little hard to see on the red, but I used the text "You're an A+ Student" in the frame with the pencil on the side.  The lines on the right are part of the stamp set, and the numbers are stickers from Creative Memories which I've had for years.  Now the sentiment on top "You are My Sunshine" is part of the Digital Stamp from Scraptastical Kreations titled My Sunshine.  The other part of the Digi Stamp is an adorable bear holding the sun which I put in the center of the book.  Here is a close-up ...
I colored the bear in pinkish colors with my Copic Markers, and used Studio G Yellow Pigment Ink with a embossing brush on the sunshine, then fussy cut it out.  I then applied my ATG really good to the back so that it was held down solidily.  I didn't want loose edges for Katie to pull on.

I hope you enjoyed my altered book!
