... Candy Box Slip Cover Plus More ...

I'm over on the Meljen's Design Blog today sharing this "Anything but a Card" project.

I was inspired by last weeks Scor-Pal Blog Hop, and other posts I've scene around blog land to create this Slip Cover for the Snow-Caps box that the hubby brought home this weekend.

After making the slip cover, I decided to create a bookmark with this adorable "Big Sweater Kid" stamp that was released last week by Meljen's Designs. Now how to add the bookmark to the slip cover ... hmm. I decided to add a little pocket, added a strip of cardstock, and tied it up with some twine. Final step was to add the sentiments.

I truly had fun making this, and every time I look at my project it brings a smile to my face. I'm going to search for candy boxes that I can cover for Katie's classmates for Valentine's Day this year.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

... Love to Create Challenge ...

Anything Goes with a Sentiment

This week our Sponsor is ... Stamp Fairy

My choice for this week is Mimi & Teddy along with the sentiment Stuffed with Love.  This adorable image was colored with my Copic Markers and fussy cut out. My thought when creating the card is that Katie could give it to her Grandpa for his birthday this weekend. So the sentiment is perfect for the occasion as Katie really LOVES her Grandpa! It's a little girly but I'm sure he will still love it.

The rest of the designers made some absolutely marvelous projects to inspire you this week, so hop on over to the Love to Create Blog to check it out, and then come join the FUN.

Next Monday we are Celebrating our 1-Yr Anniversary. We will have Prizes from over 20 Sponsors and I can't wait to share all the details with you.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

... Wishing you Sunshine ...

This is my 2nd post today, please scroll down

With the dreary weather we been having I wanted to make a bright & cheerful card for the current I {heart} Sketches Challenge No. 2 over at Delightful Inspiration From the Heart.

I printed up this lovely stamp called Drenched, and colored her with Copic Markers. No fussy cutting for this one today.  The sentiment is one of three that comes with the stamp.  The flower and bling are from A Muse Studio, and each was colored with Copic Markers to coordinate with my design.

Here is the sketch that was provided ...

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Ingredients not mentioned above:  Neenah Solar White & Bazzill cardstock, EKS Arch Scallop Punch, Celebrate It 3/8" Ribbon, Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass Distress Ink, Want2Scrap Coral Pearls

... Sassy Villains Blog Hop ...

Good morning, and Welcome to Day 2 of our Sassy Studio Designs Blog Hop.  Our Sassy Designers are showcasing the Newly Released Sassy Villains.

This months theme is Going Forward ... Looking Back, so we are sharing what our Favorite Tools and/or Embellishments are, and our Favorite 2012 Project.

If you arrived at my blog from the very talented Alaine you're in the right place. However, if you just arrived make sure you head on over to the Sassy Studio Blog to start at the beginning, and for a full list of today's Designers.

Allow me to introduce you to ... Ursula Pinup ...

My favorite tools to work with are ... Copic Markers, Scissors & Fingertip Blade (for those small areas), and Tim Holtz Distress Inks.  My favorite embellishment would have to be ... Bling, which is my go to product.

The background for Ursula was created with Reminisce Neptune Wrath & Coral Reef DP.  I was so happy to find this while at Archiver's this past week when I picked up some items for a personal order.  The Coral Reef was cut out of the DP to fit my card. The Bling was a gift from my Sassy Sister Lori from our Secret Santa Holiday Exchange. The sentiment is from Casual Elegance stamps set by CAS-ual Fridays.

Now for a closer look at Ursula ...

Copic Markers:  E0000, E11, E21, E00, RV20, BV25, BG90, BV23, BV20, BV000, V17, V15, V12, E53, 0

Now I couldn't just pick one favorite from the projects I created in 2012, so I made a collage.

Details about my favorites can be found in their original blog post ... Bella Bride, Sarong Sassy, Canada Honey, and France Honey. As you can see by my choices they are pretty CAS.

Now it wouldn't be a Blog Hop without prizes, so make sure you leave some love on all the posts from yesterday and today for your chance to win some of these lovely Sassy Villains!

All of the NEW Sassy Villains are available in the Sassy Studio Designs Store.

Your next stop today is another talented lady ... Jodi.

Thank you for hopping with us today.  Until next time ... Enjoy!

... My True Love ...

This is my 2nd post today,
please scroll down for the NEW QKR Stampede Challenge.

Today is the last week I will be featuring the Fabulous Freebie Friday's Stamps over in our Sassy Group at Paper Craft Planet. I'll be moving on the Sponsorship Sassy Group of Designers, and I can't wait to share the Challenges that Sassy Studio Designs is Sponsoring in February and March.  So let's get on with it! We are in the second week of the "What's Your Style" Challenge, and there is a NEW Lovely Sassy Stamp to create with.

Allow me to introduce you to Ballroom Babe!

This Ballroom Babe was colored with my Copic Markers, and fussy cut out for today's card. I saw a sketch over at Little Claire's Blog and based my design on it. I pulled out some lovely Design Paper that I picked up over the holiday's, and they were perfect for Babe!  Knowing that Valentines Day was coming and that I had cards to make I picked up Fancy Pants Love Note Sticker Fundamentals, and used the sentiment from the set.

My Style ... Copic Markers, Fussy Cutting, and Distress Inks

Copic Markers:  #00, E21, B04, B60, R02, RV00, RV10, RV32, RV34, RV69, 0, C9, C7, C5, C3, C00

Here's a look at the inside ...

This is not the Valentines card I created for my loving husband.  It was supposed to be dropped in the hubby's luggage when I packed his bags when he went out of town last week, but he and my daughter wouldn't let me pack his bag alone. So the card stayed home. I like putting little love notes in his luggage when he travels, and this card will have to wait until the next trip.

Now head on over to the Sassy Group to see the awesome projects by the rest of the Designers. Make sure you grab Ballroom Babe while you can!  She is only available for 24-HRS!  Then show us your "Style" for a chance to win some amazing Sassy Studio Designs Stamps.

Speaking of Sassy Stamps, remember to join us this weekend for a NEW Release Blog Hop.

I'm submitting this project to the MarkerPop Challenge #15, Pretty in Pink.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

... QKR Stampede Challenge ...

Good morning! I hope each of you are staying warm. We are expecting Snow Showers today, and that brings warmer temperatures with it so the Snow is very welcome.  Now for some Get Well Wishes!

This weeks QKR Challenge #23 is all about the Pastel Colors.

I made a Get Well card using the adorable Bookend (digi8604) stamp.

Here is a closer look ...

This Raggedy Anne is so adorable leaning up against the Books as a Bookend. The image was colored with my Copic Markers, fussy cut out, and applied to my design.

The Bookend stamp would be perfect to create a project for a little girl or a Get Well card like I did, and she is available in both Digital Format or Red Rubber in the QKR Store.

Remember to hop over to the QKR Blog to see what the other Designers created, then pull out those "Pastels" and join in the FUN!

Until next time ... Enjoy!

... Meljen's Designs Challenge ...

This week over at the Meljen's Designs Blog Challenge #144 is to "Be Square". Create a "Square" card or a project containing "Squares" in your design.

Very rarely do I create "Square" cards, so here is what I created ...

No square card! :o)

I printed two copies of this adorable Cork Poppin' Mouse, colored the mouse on one image and the cork on the second with my Copic Markers, then proceeded to cut both copies into 1-1/2" squares. Next step was to cut out the mouse and pop him on the design with Mini Glue Dots, and then I pieced my image together on the backdrop.  I was going for a 3D look with my design.

This photo shows how flat the right squares of the image are

and this one shows how the left side is popped up,

and you can see how the mouse is popped up on the cork.

It really looks cooler in person!  After put all the layers together, I added some clear star and rhinestones to the design.

Make sure you stop on over at the Meljen's Blog to see what the rest of the Designer created, then come and show us your "Square" projects!

Until next time ... Enjoy!

... Valentine's ...

Last week I created these Valentine's using stamps from a new company called Stamp Annie Thing.  Both of my cards are based on Sketches which will be shared at the end of my post.

Copic Markers:  E00, E11, E13, R02, E17, E19, Y21, B000, B12, B14, B18,
YR12, YR16, YR18, R29, R39, R59, R89

This first card features Lulu's Valentines Day. The set comes with 3 images, 12 sentiments and 1 mini-border. Lulu was colored with Copic Markers, matted on red cardstock. The background strips were stamped with the mini border to created the DP, the hearts were colored with a Red Spica pen, and matted on red cardstock.  My design is based on an old Dutch Dare Sketch #199.  After stamping the sentiment I applied Distress Ink around the edges.

Copic Markers: C0, C1, C2, C3, C5, RV10

The second card features Bunny 1a.  This is a Digital Stamp that I received to apply for the Stamp Annie Thing Design Team Call.  I truly loved coloring this bunny with my Copic Markers, and was really proud with how she turned out. LOL!  The sentiment is from Lulu's Valentines Day stamp set. My design for this card is based on Little Claire Monthly Challenge #29.

Now for the sketches ...

I submitted both of these card to Stamp Annie Thing's Design Team call.

I'm also submitting my second card to Little Claire's Monthly Challenge #29, Flowers & a Sketch.  My flowers are located in the Design Paper.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

... How Have You Bean? ...

Good morning.  It's another cold day here in Northern Illinois ... woke up to -4 F with wind chills around -15.  I bundled Katie up, well as much as she would let me, and put her on the school bus this morning.  Hat, gloves, scarf and extra socks where put in her bag since she has Hippo-therapy this morning. She loves going to see the horses so I'm hoping she lets her teacher add the extra layers.  I hope wherever you are that you are staying warm.

Today's card was created for CAS-ual Friday's Challenge #86
Long and Short.

I pulled out my Perfect Blend and Grateful Season stamps from Avocado Arts for this one.  My pleasure is Hot Chocolate, but I have a lot of coffee drinker friends that this card would be perfect for.

Here is the card with coordinating envelope.

Card size: 3-1/2 x 6-1/4

Until next time ... Enjoy!

... Love to Create Challenge ...

A bitter blast of cold has hit Northern Illinois, and I'm so happy that Katie is home today as the U.S.  celebrates Martin Luther King day.  Today's high is only going to be about 10 with wind chill below zero.  BRRR ... a good day to stay in and craft, and I have a new FUN challenge for you to play along with.

Pick 3 of your Favorite Colors to craft with.

We have two Sponsors this week.

Today I'm sharing the card I created with Sweetie Bear by StampArt Design by Kathryne.  She is so adorable and I had fun coloring her.

If your a follower of my blog you know I've been in a "Pink" mode lately, and that is the direction I went with Sweetie Bear.  I truly don't have favorite colors to play with so today's card features pink, brown, white, and I snuck in an assortment of colors in my design paper.  ;o)

Now for a closer look at Sweetie Bear ...

Copic Markers: E19, E17, E15, E51, RV10, RV13, RV32, RV34, RV66, RV69

My card is based on The Deconstructed Sketch #85.

I'm also submitting my card to the current Crafter's Digital Art Center Anything Goes Challenge.

Head on over to Love to Create Blog to see what the rest of the Designer picked as their 3 Favorites.  Their creations will inspire you.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

... The Corrosive Challenge #166 ...

I am excited to announce that I was invited to join The Corrosive Challenge Blog Design Team!

They have an amazing Design Team, and I am truly honored to be joining them, and provide inspiration for  you every fortnight.

Today is the beginning of Challenge #166.  The Theme is "Put A Pin In It" - use a hat, push, or safety pin on your creation AND/OR use the "Pinspirational" photo from Pinterest that is provided.  Our Sponsor is A & T Digital Designs.  Anita is a talented artist who has some really amazing Digital Stamps in her store, so make sure you hop on over and check them out.

I actually created two different cards for today's Challenge, and I'm sharing both cards since I'm not sure which card will be up on The Corrosive Challenge Blog.  The first card was made prior to my realizing there was a Pinspirational Photo to work with.  Both of my cards feature the lovely Kenz & Tilly Stamp.  They were  colored with Copic Markers, fussy cut out, and added to my design.  Maya Road Heart Trinket Pins were used for both cards.  So here goes! ;o)

When I first saw Kenz & Tilly I thought "what a great Valentine's Day card this would make for my son".  Even though he turns 27 this year, he will always be my baby boy.

My second card features the color from our Pinspirational Photo.  My apologies for the darkness, my camera was dropped and it's not working so I took this photo with my phone.

Head on over to The Corrosive Challenge Blog for all the details to play along with our challenges, and while you're there check out the projects the other Designers created.

I can't wait to see what you create!

Until next time ... Enjoy!

... My Valentine ...

Good evening.  I created this card today for the Delightful Inspiration From the Heart Sketch Challenge #1.  From the Heart Digital Art Stamps is previously known as Designed2Delight. You get the same amazing stamps, they just have a new name.

This lovely girl is called Gathering Hearts and can be found in the new From the Hearts Store.  She was colored with Copic Markers, and then I went with similar colors to make a bright and cheerful card.  I think Katie will be giving this to her dad for Valentine's Day. I think I'll be adding a darker purple on top of the hearts to  to match the hearts she is gathering.

Here is the Challenge Sketch ...

If you're a follower of Designed2Delights FB page, then make sure you become a follower of From the Hearts' new FB page.  You never know when a Freebie will be given to followers.  Make sure you check out the NEW Blog while you're on-line.

This is my 3rd post today ... please scroll down
for the new Love to Create Challenge.

I've had this cutie from Digi Darla Designs called Butterfly Wonder colored for a couple weeks now, and knew she would be perfect for the Deconstructed Sketch Challenge #84.

This cute girl was colored with Copic Markers, and I added a little sparkle to the butterfly and hair tie's with a Clear Star Pen.  The sentiment is from Create with TLC.

Here is the sketch I worked with ...

As I finish writing this post I just noticed that I missed one part of the sketch when I put my card together! Oops!!

I'm also entering this card to Digi Darla's Challenge #45 ~ Anything Goes.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

I've been playing in my craft room this morning with stamps I've had colored that were sitting on my craft table.

First up is the card I created for the current Freshly Made Sketch Challenge #68.  I'm cutting this real CLOSE as the Challenge closes in 1-hr!

I used the adorable Madelyn, The Praying Fairy from the Beautiful Fairies collection at Paper Makeup Stamps.  She was colored with Copic Markers, a Clear Star Gelly Roll Pen was used on her wings, and then she was cut out.

Here is a side view ...

I finished the inside with a lovely sentiment.  Not such if it's from Paper Makeup Stamps or Create with TLC, and time is not on my side for searching thru my Digital Stamps to figure this out.

Here is the lovely sketch that was provided for this weeks Challenge.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

I  picked up a new Snowflake punch and die last month that were perfect for today's Challenge. The ribbon is a hand-me-down from a dear friend.
