2015 Holiday Planner ...

Good morning. Today I'm sharing my first post as a Designer for CutCardStock. Fall is fast approaching, and before you know it the Holiday Season will be upon us. To get a head start on my Holiday plans I created a 2015 Holiday Planner featuring some beautiful Fall Colors, along with some holiday papers from my stash.

Size: 6" x 8-1/2"

I recently watched a video on creating a Daily Planner (calendar), and decided to make a 2015 Holiday Planner for myself using the same technique. I'm a bit old fashion and still love to write everything down vs. using my computer. It's a lot easier to pull out for updating.

I pulled out 2- sheets of Curious Metallic Gold Leaf cardstock and cut them down to 6" x 8-1/2"; one for the cover and one for the back. I then pulled out 1-sheet of each the Flavours Gourmet Moroccan Cocoa (Brown)Stardream Metallic Aquamarine, and Flavours Gourmet Tangelo (Orange) and cut each of them down to 5-1/2" x 8-1/2".

Once all of the pieces where cut, I used my WeRMemory Keeper Cinch Binding Machine and proceeded to punch the holes in each piece. I also punched the planner pages I printed, some holiday journal cards and a place holder I made. As you can see in the left picture I cut the holes for the journal cards and place holder so that I can move them around in my planner.

Note: You can use any type of binding system or
rings to create your own Holiday Planner, Calendar, journal, etc.

After putting the 2015 Holiday Planner together it was time to do some decorating. I used the other half of the Flavours Gourmet Moroccan Cocoa (Brown)Stardream Metallic AquamarineFlavours Gourmet Tangelo (Orange), and the Curious Metallic Gold Leaf cardstock for the cover along with some holiday DP and number stickers.

All of the pages and decorative pieces throughout the Holiday Planner were adhered using the Tombow Mono Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue.

I used the 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" pieces of the Flavours Gourmet Moroccan Cocoa (Brown)Stardream Metallic Aquamarine, and Flavours Gourmet Tangelo (Orange) to create my dividers. I decorated them with holiday DP and stickers. I also picked up some 1" self-adhesive tabs, at my local paper store, for labeling the dividers.

The first section of my Holiday Planner contains pages for Holiday Preparations, Cooking Plans, Holiday Menu Planner, and a page with things to do - places to go - don't forget - items to purchase.

The first divider (bottom left) is all about Cards, and contains pages for Greeting Card List and Greeting Card Address List. The second divider (center) is all bout Gift Giving and contains pages for Gift Ideas, Wish List, and a Gift Tracker page. The last divider (bottom right) is titled Notes. I wanted a section to write notes about the holidays (i.e. Christmas Memories, changes that can be made to make the holiday's run smoother, etc.).

For the second divider (center above) I added a Stardream Metallic Aquamarine A-7 Envelope in front of the Gift Tracker pages for storing receipts.

This project may seem like there is a lot of work involved, but it was truly easy to make. The only thing that took the most time was gluing the pages together so that they were back to back.

The CutCardStock products are amazing to work with. The quality is truly outstanding!

The Flavours Gourmet Moroccan Cocoa (Brown)Flavours Gourmet Tangelo (Orange), and Curious Metallic Gold Leaf cardstock are 10% OFF as part of the Fall into Saving Sale going on right now.

I hope you enjoyed the Tutorial on how I created my 2015 Holiday Planner.

Until next time ... Enjoy!
