Thinking Happy Thoughts ...

Good afternoon! Today I have a butterfly card to share featuring Rubbernecker Stamps.

Butterflies are so lovely to look at so today's card features one of the butterflies from the Butterflies 1 Stamp Set (3025). I stamped the butterflies going up the side of my panel, and colored them in with my Copic Markers. I masked off a section with post-it notes, and used Tim Holtz Distress Ink to add the blue around the butterflies. Next I fussy cut around the butterflies and layered the panel on navy blue cardstock, and fussy cut around the butterflies again. This combined panel was added to my cardbase, and I add the Happy Thoughts Sentiment (565-11) to the left of the bottom butterfly. To finish off my card I added some navy blue enamel dots.

Until next time ... Enjoy!

Birthday Wishes ...

Good afternoon. I'm sharing a birthday card today featuring Rubbernecker Stamps.

I pulled out some of my RN Watercolor Paper and stamped the Wildflowers in the Wind (713) using a variety of Gelatos and Distress Ink, and of course water. To add color to the background I took a tissue, added color from my palette and dabbed it all around the image. Once dry I cut the panel down and layered it on two different shades of purple cardstock, and then onto my cardbase. I then used Ranger Jet Black Archival Ink to add the Birthday Wishes Sentiment from the Best Friends, Etc. Sentiment Set (3032). To finish off my card I added 3 purple gems around the flowers.

Sailing Away ...

Good morning! I created a masculine card to share with you today featuring Sail Away (E418) from Great Impressions Stamps.

Using Marvey LePlumme II Markers I colored the image with three (3) different colors and stamped it on my panel. I then colored the image again with the same markers, and made each sail a little different. A combination of Distress Inks and Gelatos were used to create the sea and sky, and then applied Copic Opaque White with a brush to create the whitecaps. I then framed the scene with a Scalloped Frame Die, and layered it on my blue card. No sentiment was used, but you can always add it to the inside for any occasion.

Happy Father's Day ...

Good morning! It's the first Sunday of the month and that means it's time for a New Monthly Challenge over at the Great Impressions Blog. This month our Theme Challenge is Masculine, and as always we have an amazing Prize for the Winner.

I created a CAS card featuring the Bar-B-Que Time (E497) with the Father's Day Sentiment (C380). Using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink I stamped both the image and sentiment on my panel. I masked off the area above the sentiment with post-it notes, used a dauber to create grass with Tim Holtz Mowed Lawn Distress Ink, and then added some Tumbled Glass around the image for the sky. I went over the swirls with a Silver PITT Artist Pen from Faber-Castell, then matted my panel and added it to my card base.

Welcome Baby Girl ...

Good morning! It's the start of a new month, and that means we have a NEW Challenge over at the Scor-Pal Blog.

The lady who cuts my daughter's hair is pregnant and expecting a baby girl later this month. Here is the Baby Girl Mini Album I created for her based on this Tutorial that I found

I didn't have white 12" x 12" cardstock so I used black, and then used Neenah Classic Natural White cardstock in between the black cardstock and the Bundle of Joy DP by Echo Park. I used 1/4" Scor-Tape, 1/2" Scor-Tape, and Scor-Tape 6' x 6" Sheets for the front and back cover.

I colored my White Seam Binding Ribbon with a Pink Gelato since I made a Baby Girl Album. I also applied Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink around all of my pages.

Here are more pictures of the album opened.

NOTE: While following the tutorial I found an error. If you want your Mini Album to open like an accordion the following section needs to be adjusted ... For the 3 pieces that are 12" x 3-3/4" it says to score at 5-3/4" from one end and 1/2" from the other end. You need to score 1/4" from the other end vs. 1/2".

Make sure you stop by and check out the inspiration provided by the Designers for our Scor-Pal More than One Score Challenge #38 ~ Ribbon/Lace/Trim. While you are there, consider hitting the "Follow" Button to stay up-to-date on everything Scor-Pal!

Until next time ... Enjoy!
